All products are made from 100% Grade-A Rose Quartz. Yang Face’s rose quartz products contain no plastic, acrylic, ceramic, glass or stone dyes, which means each product may have a non-uniform color that is normal to the natural stone. Additionally, the facial tools may be particularly fragile as a result of having no fillers. The rollers and gua sha boards may break when dropped on hard surfaces. We are unable to issue any sort of refund if this issue occurs once the product is in your possession.

Cautions and Contraindications

Facial cupping is not recommended during pregnancy or for persons with blood clotting conditions or persons on blood thinner medications. Avoid facial cupping on open sores and opened up acne as well as sunburn. Wait six (6) weeks following Botox and fillers, and at least 72 hours following microdermabrasion before facial cupping. Never drag a suctioned cup up and down the neck. Instead, you may cup your neck horizontally by tracing neck lines. Please consult a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac) for personalized advice and whether it is safe to perform facial cupping based on your health concerns.

Facial gua sha is not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy and is cautioned throughout pregnancy.  Gua sha should also be cautioned on open sores and sunburn, but is safe for non-opened up acne. Wait three (3) weeks following Botox and fillers, and at least 72 hours following microdermabrasion before facial gua sha. Please consult a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac) for personalized advice and whether it is safe to perform facial gua sha based on your health concerns, including pregnancy.

Facial rolling is safe during pregnancy. Facial rolling may be used on open sores, sunburn and acne. Gentle facial rolling is safe immediately following Botox, fillers and microdermabrasion. Please consult a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac) for personalized advice and whether it is safe to perform facial rolling based on your health concerns.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I properly use the tools?

Please view under each product description. Products

What order do you recommend for using the tools correctly?

We recommend you start with facial cupping, then facial gua sha, and lastly facial rolling. As for the full face and eye mask, you may use it in either order.

How do I properly clean and store the tools?

Hand tools may be washed under water with a gentle soap or wiped down with a wet washcloth and a drop of your favorite essential oil. We recommend only using a dampened washcloth and a drop or two of your favorite essential to wipe clean the full-face and eye masks.

When/what time of day should I use the tools?

You may use the tools at any time of day that works well for your schedule. We prefer using the hand tools in the morning to start the day and the masks in the evening to help wind down.

How often and for how long should I use the tools?

You may use the tools as often as you would like. We recommend starting with two times a week and building up to using the tools every single day. You choose how much time you are able to dedicate to your facial tool practice. We do recommend switching up tool techniques from time to time so that your facial muscles get a variety of exercise. Think of cross-training for your face. I want to go deeper; how can I learn more and who can I learn from?

In order to become a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac), it requires 3,205 course hours following an undergraduate degree. This process includes 1,935 hours Classroom Didactic Courses, 960 hours Clinic Coursework, 300 hours Corequisite Basic Sciences, and 10 hours CPR & First Aid in order to receive a Master’s degree BEFORE sitting for the California and/or National board exams. An additional 217.5 hours of Classical Chinese Medicine, 225 hours Orthopedic Medicine & Pain Management, 150 hours Integration and Research and 697.5 hours of Practicum Training is required in order to receive a Doctorate degree.
